Properties & Pathways secures prime Shepparton retail asset

We’re excited to share the details of our latest acquisition—a high-exposure retail asset in Shepparton, Victoria—secured under the Pathway 8 Unit Trust, wholly allocated to a single private investor.

Strategic off-market acquisition

Earlier this month, we successfully acquired a former Spotlight retail building in regional Victoria, a 3,200sqm asset positioned on the Midland Highway, Shepparton’s key retail corridor.

Our in-house property experts, Cal Doggett (Managing Director) and Sam Steed (Associate Transaction Manager), had eyed off the property long ago. And like with most of our acquisitions, this off-market transaction was made possible through a proactive approach, ensuring we secured a valuable addition to our portfolio.

High-calibre tenant secured

With a favourable Activity Centre zoning and a land-rich 8,094sqm site area, we were able to identify and secure a national retailer as a backfill tenant, de-risking the investment and adding long-term value. And so, we’re pleased to announce that Amart Furniture will soon open its doors at this prime location, enhancing Shepparton’s already strong retail offering.

The property benefits from a high-exposure frontage, with immediate proximity to national brands such as Anaconda, Woolworths, Big W and Bunnings. Some of these major brands aren’t strangers to Properties & Pathways, with many (including Amart Furniture) having tenanted past and existing Properties & Pathways assets. 

Strengthening our retail portfolio

This acquisition aligns with our strategy of targeting well-located, high-performing assets with strong tenant demand. We look forward to seeing Amart Furniture thrive in this location and contributing to the continued vibrancy of Shepparton’s retail sector.
